2 minute noodle recipes

  • 11 Ingredients
  • Extra virgin olive oil, 1 tbsp
  • 20g of butter
  • One finely chopped brown onion
  • Trimmed and roughly chopped four middle bacon rashers
  • 1 tbsp of plain flour
  • Four 72g packages of Maggi 2 Minute chicken flavor noodles
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup grated Devondale Colby Cheese Block
  • Fresh flat-leaf Parsley, 1/4 cup
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
    • Four Method Steps
  • Step 1
  • Over medium heat, melt butter and oil in a large deep frying pot. Add the onion and bacon. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until the onion is soft—transfer two tablespoons of the onion mixture into a small bowl. Cover the bowl to keep warm.
  • How to slice and chop onions
  • Step 2.
  • Remove the remaining chicken flavor sachets and add flour to the pan. Stirring constantly, cook for one minute. Reduce heat to medium. Stir in 2 cups of water and milk gradually. Bring to a boil. Add noodles. Stir occasionally to break down the noodles. Cook for 2 minutes or until noodles are cooked.
  • Step 3
  • Add the peas and the cheese. Continue cooking for 1 to 2 more minutes or until the peas turn bright green and are tender. To the reserved onion mixture, add Parsley and lemon zest. Add salt and pepper. Combine by tossing.
  • Step 4.
  • Remove noodles from the heat. Sprinkle the onion mixture on top. Serve.
