Cheese and bacon cob loaf

The combination of bacon and cheese has been a long-standing culinary tradition, whether in mac and cheese, pizza, macaroni, cheese, or a quiche Lorraine. The smokiness in bacon pairs well with any cheese, from mild ricotta to pungent blue cheese. This recipe for bacon and cheese loaf combines three types of cheese: cream cheese, mozzarella, and tasty. The bacon is cooked with onions until crispy and mixed with the cheese. This dish, baked in a crisp bread shell until it becomes molten, is an excellent addition to any occasion, whether serving it at a dinner party or a cocktail reception.

Ingredients

  • 250g bacon rashers diced
  • One onion diced large
  • 250g cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups of cream
  • 2 cups mozzarella grated
  • One cup of tasty grated cheese
  • One cob loaf

Method

    1. Remove the soft bread by removing the top of the cob loaf.
    2. Set aside the top and stuffing.
    3. Place onion and bacon in a bowl after frying.
    4. Add the cream, grated cheese, and softened block of cheese. Fill the cob loaf with the mixture.
    5. Wrap foil around the bread and place the lid.
    6. Bake at 180C (45 minutes)
    7. Remove the foil and continue to cook for another 10 minutes.
    8. Add the pieces of bread and bake them for 7-10 minutes to crisp the bread.
    9. Serve on a heat-resistant platter with bread sticks and dippers around the edges.
