This vanilla sugar syrup is the perfect way to improve your morning coffee. It’s easy to make, whether you serve it hot or cold. There are only three simple ingredients. It’s also cheaper than Starbucks. You can make your Vanilla Syrup or purchase some online. It’s both delicious.
ingredients
I like ingredient lists with at most five items. This is one. YAY!
- Coffee (cold brew or iced)
- Vanilla Syrup
- Cream (or any other dairy/nondairy product of your choice)
Making iced coffee using vanilla syrup
- Fill the tall glass with cubes of ice. Pour the cold brew or cooled-down coffee (about one cup) into a tall glass.
- Add two tablespoons of vanilla syrup (or as much sweetness as you like) to the mixture. Stir well to combine.
- Add your favorite dairy product or creamer to the glass. You can use any dairy product you like, including half-and-half.
Making hot coffee with Vanilla Syrup
- This is easier than the iced version.
- You can make your coffee in the morning as you wish. Pour yourself a coffee in a mug.
- Add one teaspoon of vanilla syrup or to taste.
How do I make a vanilla latte?
- There are a few differences, but it’s essentially the same.
- It would help if you had espresso for a latte rather than coffee. (I’ve been known to use a pot of strong coffee as well).
- The mug will need to be filled with steamed or warm milk.
- Add your vanilla syrup as much as you like, and enjoy!
Can I make this without sugar?
- Totally. To make it easier for yourself, I recommend purchasing the syrup.
