Got the munchies?
Late-night snacks aren’t just the domain of stoners and gremlins.
Maybe you’re getting back from a road trip. You’ve just driven 12 hours from Brisbane to Sydney, or you’ve just arrived back from overseas and with jetlag bearing down on you, there’s no question that you’re too tired to cook.
Maybe you’ve just finished moving house – finally! But it’s after 11 pm, and your place is stacked full of boxes, and there’s no clear path to the stove.
Maybe you’re a shift worker or making cocktails at a bar, and you’ve just knocked off at 2 am. Your shift was long and exhausting, but you’re hungry, and you know you won’t be able to sleep when your stomach is growling.
Maybe you’re one of those people who like to hit the gym late at night so you can work on your muscle tone without wasting time waiting for the equipment. Or maybe you’re heading home after a late-night clubbing with friends, and suddenly you realize you’re famished.
Whatever your situation, the options don’t look so hot at first glance. You could go for the greasy sausage on the corner, stop off at the servo to grab some chips, chocolate or ice cream, and of course, there’s always drive-thru Maccas. But you know how you’re going to feel after any of these choices.
So what else is on offer – besides doing a dumpling dash to Chinatown?? Here at Delivery Hero HQ, we’ve put together the best-case scenarios for all your late-night snack needs. Even though a high proportion of pizza places open late, they all do salads if you don’t feel like something too heavy too late. (But if you order pizza, you can always eat it for breakfast.)
