MEATBALLS WITH TOMATO SAUCE IN INGREDIENTS
This recipe uses simple ingredients you can find in your kitchen. You can save money by not having to go shopping!
You’ll need the following ingredients to make this delicious tomato sauce.
- Garlic Sauteed in Olive Oil
- Italian Seasoning – We use our homemade Italian Seasoning, but you can also use store-bought blends or a mixture of Italian herbs such as oregano and parsley.
- Whole Tomatoes — whole tomatoes lend this sauce a thick, creamy texture.
- Honey — to balance the acidity of the tomatoes.
- Salt + pepper Here’s everything you need to know about the meatballs:
- Lean ground beef – We use lean meat that has less fat but still maintains the flavor and moistness of these meatballs.
- Egg works as a binder for keeping everything together.
- Quick oats or almond flour are all great options for softening meatballs. Quick oats produce the softest meatballs.
- Chicken Stock: We usually keep some homemade stock frozen, but it is also possible to use a store-bought store.
- Grated Onion — grating onions is a meatball secret. It is easier to evenly distribute the flavor of the Onion by grating it into small pieces.
- Parmesan Cheese — for a bold, cheesy taste.
- Italian Seasoning, Salt, and Pepper– Our homemade Italian Seasoning, with some salt and pepper to season.
