How do you bake potatoes?

  1. Wash your potato and let it dry – Give the potato a good scrub, and then dry it completely.
  2. Poke – Although I’ve never had a potato explode, I don’t want to clean up any exploded potatoes. I give my potatoes pokes using a fork.
  3. Rub with oil – You don’t need a foil jacket – just love to rub your potato with some oil
  4. Salt – Channel your inner salt bae to make it rain salt. The oil will make the salt stick to your skin.
  5. Bake – Bake your potato on a rack in an extremely hot oven. To ensure even baking, flip the pan halfway through.
  6. Make your potatoes fluffy – Use clean oven mitts or a kitchen towel to massage the potato after it has been baked gently.
  7. Slice and Serve – Make a small opening and use a fork or knife to fluff the potatoes. They are great plain with flaky sea salt and a good pat of grass-fed butter. But I love them with baked potatoes!
